Pasting an outline into wordpress

Figuring the future
I ran across two more axes this morning, here in Arnold Kling's blog. It's a 2x2, with the second on the vertical axis:
Essential ↔︎ Inessential
Robust ↔︎ Fragile
Intrigued by this, I added four letters:
Essential/Robust: A
Inessential/Robust: B
Essential/Fragile: C
Inessential/Fragile: D
Then I made a list of categories and subcategories (below), with letters assigned to each. All are hard to say, because I'm looking at what happens after The Great Pause we're in now. (Before is a lot easier.) Note: this is a heuristic, meant to stimulate thought rather than to pose an argument. Also, since the letters represent termini of axes, many of the placements should be somewhere between the extremes. Anyway, here goes...

There’s a lot of footsie in the tech press, so we should be watching them, carefully, and saying what we see.
